India captured the attention of the Bishops’ Synod in Rome presided over by the Pope. Great applause arose as Major Arch Bishop Baselios Mar Cleemis one of the representatives from Kerala presented Logos Quiz as a Kerala model for New Evangelisation. It was with great interest that 350 representatives of the Catholic Bishops’ Conferences worldwide - of whom 250 are Bishop representatives and 100 are special invitees consisting of priests, religious and laity - listened to the phenomenon of Logos Bible Quiz that is being conducted since 2000 in the Kerala Church.
Bishop Cleemis informed the Synod during an open intervention time that this year 5,61,000 people registered for the quiz, seemingly a world record in the genre of quiz. It can be adapted according to the psyche and culture of various nations. Enquiries from various churches are indications that the Kerala Model is appealing to many. KCBC Bible Commission is fully willing to share its expertise and experience with others in this Bible ministry.
