Bible)
The Bible Society because of its Bible apostolate task, publishes, every year a calendar the daily reading of the Bible. Its publication began in 2991. it helps to read and study biblical verses daily. This calendar is arranged in such a way
that it helps to lead a good Christian life by reading the Word of god and the lives of the saints. Mar George Punnakkottil, the chairman of Bible Commission
released the "Bible Reading Calendar" by giving the first copy to Sri. V P Joseph, the
general manager of South Indian Bank.

Peculiarities of the calendar.

It is a good help for the daily reading of bible in churches, societies, families and in personal life.

Reference of each day's Bible reading in the Holy Mass is given in the column of the day.

In addition to the reference , an important versicle of the Bible text is given in the column of the day.

All the six pages of the calendar beautiful pictures of the Father, Son and holy Spirit and Saints in the multicolor.

The lives of the saints or ecclesiastically important days, which are to be the subject of meditation, are given. It helps to grow in spirituality.

The gospel verses appropriate for each picture is given

A special column for special days, indicating feast days of saints, ecclesiastically important days and general vacation days is given.

It is useful for Sunday School Students. It helps to read the Bible in the families and family unit gatherings.

Calendars for Syro-malabar Rite and Latin Rite are available.

The price of a calendar is
Rs. 7 only. Those who need more than 25 copies, they will be sent by post. Postage
Rs. 50 for each packet of 25 calendars must be pre-paid. The Church's institution and societies may buy the calendars and distribute them.
