The Bible Arts Festival is conducted to present, as a part of the proclamation of the word, Bible messages and values in the form of arts and to find out and encourage the young geniuses. He is a spiritual and cultural festival. It includes art competitions and literary competitions. It is called Bible Kalotsavam in Malayalam. It began in 1979.
Those who become successful in the competitions held successively
at parish forane and diocesan levels are allowed to participate in the Bible Arts Festival Competitions conducted in P O
C at the state Level.
As mentioned above, this Kalotsavam is conducted
with some important aims: To imbue Biblical culture, to present the
Bible messages to the people at large through different forms of art, to honor the people who
excel different forms of art. It is a spiritual and cultural congress conducted
at the state level.
This Kalotsavam is an arena where Christian geniuses from different parts of Kerala come together,
grow in sharing faith, unite in prayers and express themselves
on one stage. This spiritual and cultural festival will be based on a common topic proposed each year.
Items of Competition and Awards.
The winners in each item are awarded cash Prize and certificate. Those who obtain the first prize are given trophy. The diocese which scores the highest number of points is awarded a Rolling Trophy. Among the items included in Literary Competitions only painting is worthy of getting points.
The results will be announced on the day of competition itself. The Bible
Arts Festival Prizes are given on the day on which the Logos Quiz Prizes are distributed at a meeting conducted at P O C.
